Traffic Update

Please see the message below for important information regarding construction on Springdale Road.

Beginning on or about Monday 10/24/2016, Springdale Road northbound will be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC at Evesham Road, extending through the end of the work zone at Lark Lane / Wilderness Drive. Southbound traffic will be using the northbound lane due to the southbound lane being impassable from construction. The intersections with Chateau Drive and Cunningham Lane will be closed during these work times. Morris Drive and Spring Road traffic will only be able to go south on Springdale, no northbound travel will be possible. Local access to the ShopRite store and the Holly Ravine Shopping Center will be permitted. All other Springdale Rd / White Horse Rd northbound traffic will be detoured onto Evesham Road, to Cropwell Road or to Haddonfield-Berlin Road to get around the work area.

This detour will be in place from about 7am through about 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, for about three weeks. Emergency vehicles responding to calls for service within the closed area will have northbound access via radio communication to police officers in the work zone. The restrictions will be lifted at the end of each daily work period and through the weekends.

Throughout the month of October, our Student Council will be coordinating a collection of new socks. All collected socks will be donated to a homeless shelter in Camden. Last year we raised over 100 pairs of socks!

Back to School Night

Happy Summer!

I hope you're all enjoying the final days of summer and taking in some sun. It's been a busy few weeks at Johnson as we're getting ready to welcome all of our 409 students as well as launch our #YearOfHappy.

To help ease some of the typical traffic we see during Back to School Night, we're going to be trying something new this year. Rather than have one time for the entire school, we're going to have two different sessions.

To start with, our Back to School Night is on Thursday, September 15th.

For parents of students in kindergarten through second grade, Back to School Night will be from 6:30 to 7:30.

For parents of students in third grade through fifth grade, Back to School Night will be from 7:45-8:45.

This should allow everyone to fit in the APR for the opening remarks as well as free up some much needed parking spaces.

More information will be coming home about our Back to School Night when school begins on September 6th.

Thank you for your continued support.

Mr. Peltzman
